World-class learning experience.

Students love their time with us. Our small class sizes – just eight students per trainer – mean that you’ll get the personal attention you need to make the best possible start on your coding journey. Part teacher, part mentor, all of our trainers are professional developers with years of experience in the industry and will have your back from day one at the academy to day one in your new role.

Hear more from our graduates at SwitchUp and Course Report.

Industry approved curriculum.

Our curriculum is designed to make sure you have a rock solid foundation going into your new career. You’ll learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript (including React) for front-end and Node.js and Java for back-end. You’ll use these technologies to create full-stack web applications with MERN as well as Spring Boot. You’ll learn about databases and frameworks, unit testing and pair programming, Git and debugging, and a whole lot more.

You’ll also learn to work in Agile – the project management system used by dev teams everywhere – and will receive additional training to get your Scrum Master Certification.

We seek continual feedback from other tech companies on our curriculum, so we know we’re teaching just what they’re looking for.

Outstanding career support.

We don’t only teach the topics that will get you your first role – we’ll give you an experience as close to the real world as possible. We share our beautiful teaching space with a real software company, so you’ll be working alongside experienced developers and getting a great insight into the world of digital.

It’s also no coincidence that our class sizes mirror the size of the average dev team, so you’ll get proper experience working on projects in a team that feels like, and quickly learns to function like, the real thing.

With all of your new skills under your belt, we’ll help you figure out the kind of developer you want to be, and the sort of company you want to work for. Then we’ll introduce you to some fantastic tech companies looking for people just like you, with guest lectures, hiring events and an extensive alumni network.

We know that diversity of background equals strength in teams, and are proud to offer bursary funding to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn with EyUp and kick start a new career in tech.

Funding is available for people in South Yorkshire from disadvantaged backgrounds or who are under-represented in the tech sector. Bursaries are awarded based on a combination of factors including level of underrepresentation, level of financial need, and other types of adversity.

Bursary funding may cover all or part of the course fees. Where partial funding is allocated, the remainder of the course fees can be paid with deferred tuition through EdAid or Knoma, as detailed above.
